ICE Printheads - Achieve Optimum Performance

Care of your ICE printhead

In order to achieve the optimum performance from your ICE printhead the following points should be noted:-

• The printhead should be cleaned regularly – at the end of every ink ribbon, or at the end of each shift, using ICE printhead cleaning wipes. These are lint free wipes.
• Before cleaning you must power the printer down. Wipe the print line on the corner of the printhead, which contacts with the film that is being printed.
• Never use other cleaning substances
• Never scrape the printhead with hard objects.
• Use ICE recommended quality ribbons.
• Run the printer with the darkness setting as low as possible while still achieving a good print.
• Run the printer with the air pressure setting as low as possible while still achieving a good print.

Caution

Printhead resistance. If the printhead is changed, the new printhead resistance must be re-set. If not set correctly, premature aging or damage could occur to the printhead, or poor quality images could result.

Printheads are classed as consumable items.

The equipment warranty excludes consumable items.
