Our Zodiac thermal transfer coder can print a standard two-line date code at a rate of over 600 packs per minute at a lower cost than competitor machines.

Using a unique solid state ribbon drive that eliminates clutches, brakes, gears and shuttles, the coder features a ‘High Throughput’ mode which uses a synchronised bi-directional stepper motor. This eliminates the need for more expensive and less reliable components, such as the gearboxes and encoders that are essential in traditional systems.

So by removing the mechanical weak points of older technology, a Zodiac coder dramatically lowers the cost and increases the productivity rate of thermal transfer coding.
